In your name, what does B&B stand for?

It means we are a “Bed and Breakfast”. We host our guests overnight in our lodgings with conveniences, amenities and a home baked breakfast in the morning.

How long have you been here?

We opened our doors in April of 2000 and have never closed (24/7). The office hours are 9AM to 9PM.

So what is your day job?

The Inn is it; 110%. Today I am tired and tomorrow I will be re-tired.

Do you live here? Are you the owners or managers?

We are on premise and live in the servants’ quarters of our Victorian home.

When can I check in?

Check-in time is between 3:00pm and 8:00pm.

What type of payments do you accept?

We accept credit cards and cash payments.  We’ll also accept checks for deposits only.

When is check out?

11:00am so that allows us the time to prep our rooms for our next guests.

Do your rooms have bathrooms?

All our rooms have private bathrooms with showers.

Do I need to bring towels and bed linens?

We include all towels and bed linens, blankets, pillows and comforters.

When do you clean?

We thoroughly clean every room between guests using guidelines set by the CDC.

What does that mean?

All linens are stripped and replaced. Bathrooms are scrubbed and disinfected, Trash is removed, and toiletries restocked. Housekeeping is offered to our guests staying long term.

What’s for breakfast?

Every day is chef’s choice based upon the season and fresh ingredients. Some of our three course selections are posted on our website breakfast page . It’s fresh fruit, homemade baked goods and hot entrée.

I don’t drink coffee; what else do you offer?

Juices, hot chocolates and several dozen tea choices.  We also have non-dairy creamers and almond milk.

I have diet restrictions.

We request notice before you arrive so that we can offer gluten free, lactose free, diet limitations and vegetarian offers.

Do you accept children?

We accept children of all ages!

Our dog is part of the family; can he come with us?

Yes, we have both pet friendly and pet-free rooms.

How large are your rooms?

Some are family suites and some are single rooms. We can accommodate up to 20 guests at once.

Where can we eat dinner?

We are one block off Route 6. Our Main Street has a selection of small town eateries.

Do you have Starbucks?

Starbucks is located two hours north of us in Buffalo, NY. For an unusual beverage experience try one of the best custom blends in town at Toadstool Nutrition.

What is there to do?

We suggest this website. This is our coverage of events, locations, schedules, maps and calendars in the area. If you search for Dark Skies, The World War II museum or festivals and events, there will be year round activities listed.

Why do I have to bring a sweater or jacket in July?

We are located in the north-west corner of Pennsylvania in the mountains where temps can vary 40 degrees within a day.  So yes, bring a sweater or jacket.
